7 STEPS TO SETTING UP YOUR PUMP AND FOUNTAIN
1. Place the fountain in its bowl and if necessary support it with bricks or rocks to get it to its best height.
2. Fill the bowl with water allowing enough depth to cover the pump body with at least 5 centimetres of water.
3. Now fit the correct connecting nozzle to the pump outlet (supplied with pump) this nozzle is what the clear tubing attached to the fountain connects to.
4. Place the pump in the water but do not connect it to the clear tube yet.
5. Plug the pump in and let it run for 30 seconds until it is pushing a decent stream of water from the outlet. You can feel it with you finger or tilt the pump so that the nozzle is just under the surface and you can see the stream of water being pushed out of the pump.
6. After 30 seconds there shouldn’t be any air bubbles in the stream of water and you can now connect the pump to the clear plastic tube on the end of the fountain base. (you wait 30 seconds to allow the pump to clear out any air and so avoid an air blockage, which will cause the pump to not be able to push the water up the fountain stems)
7. Finally place some large pebbles or small rocks around the pump to hide it.
